Call somebody you know that is already there and uses a cell phone (or at least call somebody who can call somebody who does) if you want to plead a fashionably late arrival

by the way, on Wednesday Mario suggested that maybe we could make a change to the way we determine who in the 1st losing team would join the "odd man late arrival"
Mario would prefer that "the odd man waiting" would in fact pick which one of the first losers he'd want to play with
opinions?
mine is limited to that if we make that change it would be for all
