Hi all.
I wanted to guage the interest out there in either holding a Shake-n-Bake or a straight up BYP next Friday in preparation for the tournament.
If it's a Shake-n-Bake it would be 10$ to enter the bake side and 5$ to enter the shake side.
If its a BYP, then I would suggest IFP amateurs and above pay 10$ and everyone else pays 5$, with perhaps additional money for the highest all non-amateur-or-higher-team.

the old and tried method is to announce and "guage" (is that french?) -- but keep open the two till approximate numbers for each preference are known --- that is to say, if it is feasible you can accomodate the two
having said that, if hereby you are the dyp tournament director then you have the last word
sidenote: sorry I'm not current on the IFP categories, what is the hierarchy and where would some (me) fit?
also: good playing last night though we made by the skin of the teeth, you carried me
consequently I prefer straight dyp since I don't have to pick a partner, that way and don't have to say "sorry"
wow I just voted and "Straight DYP" has it at 100%!

My partner is in Toronto ... I wouldn't mind BYP or shake if anyone wants to form a team. I'll play goalie for the right forward.

I also wanted to point out that this Friday is good Friday and some (most?) people may have the day off. It may affect whether some people can come out.

i'm only coming out if my brother, visiting from london, ontario, wants to come out after an 8-hour drive with 3 kids....
doesn't seem likely after that sentence, but nevertheless, i'd like to show him a side of foosball most regular folk don't know about... the skilled side.

The votes are 3-2 in favour of a straight up DYP. Unless the votes change significantly by tonight, we'll run a regular DYP and save the fixed teams for money games.

I will be there. I do not care what format we use. Shake or Bake or straight DYP. See you all there. I will try to get there a bit early to do some table clean up.
