This is the link for the all the events on Netfoos.
Tables are ok. As far as the tables are concerned, they are back to the grey marble quality for the table. The rods are a bit weak, two bars bending all over the place. Balls are supper fuzzy and are playing like the Warrior balls. So you have to move the ball a little forward from your normal drag setup.
I'll see if I can pick up some balls for the tables at TG.

Graeme lost to a little kid
Paul vindicated Graeme and kicked the kid's ass.
Liudas and Paul lost to the little kid and his sister.
Brian kicked ass in the DYP with a beginner to take 3rd.
Chris kicked ass a little less in the DYP with a S/P to take 4th.
Tournament ran late on Sunday and the boys bailed early.

Beginner events were a total disaster for me dunno what happened, but I just played very, very very bad...
all in all I didn't play up to my normal level and that is sad...
But the main story is that in Semi-pro doubles Graeme and me beat a team of Chris and Hogan
and it was AWESOME!!!!! Gream did amazing job blocking both Hogan and Chris and I just had to score couple of slops against them

I never expected to play so many games against the same goddamned people I play every week. Some of the guys there were just ridiculous though!
Too bad "Tips" took so long to call out matches, alot of sitting around, doing nothing. Sunday was especially rough for this, since we had to checkout at 11am, and thus had no place to relax between matches.
I don;t think I could ever see myself going to another 3-day tournament. too much foos. by the end of the second day I was just too tired to play, and the third day was the beginner events, which at that point I couldn't have cared less about. All in all, Foosball should be a fun pass-time. I'm looking forward to league play, and 1-day tournaments not hosted by Tips.

To be honest it's tournaments like these where you can noticeably see improvements in your game quickly! Playing once a week is fun and can keep your game consistent but that's about it. Which is fine if that's all you are looking for. Personally, big tournaments were the reason I got hooked to this game in the first place! It was definitely over whelming the first time, finding out how many matches you actually play, especially as a beginner since you can play in every event! But the more I played and got better the more competitive I became at tournaments and that's where the fun really begins! So don't be too quick to say you're done with these tournaments yet, the real fun hasn't begun for you yet!

Yea I hear ya man, I definately got alot better this weekend. and I'm all about getting better. I practice almost daily atleast for 20-30 mins just because I enjoy it so much. All I'm looking for is some time out with the lads, playing a game I love. I don;t think competition foosball is for me.
Put it this way. I found myself staying up until 5, 6am playing pickup games with pros and semi pros, because I had more fun doing that than playing serious games. I like to talk shit, get chirped at and have a good time. Big Shout out to Jason Boone, and Dave from Michigan, good times were had 1am-5am all weekend
Shit, I came home with a North Carolina accent!
