Money Game Format - foosboss - 05-Feb-2012 I'd like to start this thread in hopes of coming up with the best format for money games where we get to fit in as many games as possible in the short amount of time we have after league or DYPs. So far I have come up with the following and would like to hear everyone else's feedback and suggestions: 1) 1 game to seven. Somehow, 2 out of 3 games for $5 just don't seem worth it. 2) Challenger pays. Challenger should have to put down 2 loonies since there is a possibility of having to play 13 balls (7-6) Winner should not have to pay anything. 3) Winner has to win by 2, with 9 being the sudden death score. Anything else? RE: Money Game Format - Pixel - 05-Feb-2012 (05-Feb-2012, 01:11 AM)foosboss Wrote: Somehow, 2 out of 3 games for $5 just don't seem worth it. Ya. Play a 2/3 for $10 instead. RE: Money Game Format - jpguywatchout - 06-Feb-2012 easy for you to say Pixel..... you're good. what if a mediocre player gets stuck with Omar... you just lost $10. RE: Money Game Format - Paul - 06-Feb-2012 $1 per goal, games to 5 and you gotta win by 2. RE: Money Game Format - Jon - 06-Feb-2012 Frank I like your idea the best. I think 1 game to 5 isn't enough and best 2 out of 3 takes too long! Also like the win by 2 aswell! RE: Money Game Format - SilentSam - 06-Feb-2012 I'll agree with either race to 7 for $5 or 2/3 for $10. If you're gonna hog the table, it might as well be for double the money. If either team disagrees about 2/3 for $10, default to race to 7 for $5 instantly. Also, I don't agree with win by 2. We're trying to speed these games up. RE: Money Game Format - Paul - 07-Feb-2012 so it's settled; we will play with win by 2 as a standard rule for all money games. RE: Money Game Format - Persian Prince - 07-Feb-2012 Win by 2 gives the necessary tournament experience for clutch circumstances. I concur.....one game to 7, win by 2 upto 9. $5 a person. I love the fact that money games is the predominate reason ppl show up to foos! (06-Feb-2012, 08:06 PM)SilentSam Wrote: I'll agree with either race to 7 for $5 or 2/3 for $10.
