I was too lazy to mention my list:

Underrated:
- Mark French
- Mary
- Jesse as an OD (we rarely see it, but he's got some dirty 2-bar shooting that he's been working on)

Top 7:
- Gid
- Thomas
- Frank
- Merv

After that it all falls off in this other pool of good but not great defenseman who all excel at different things, i can't really group that part

I would change my lists drastically depending on what you're talking about... Best offensive defenseman? Best defensive defenseman?

Underrated: Elli for sure, Vern has upped his D game immensely as of late with all the dumping/passing/off the wall options, and Anthony simply because noone has said his name yet... how people forget.

Defensive shooters: Since it's limited to 7: Manny, Packer, Omar, Gid, Frank, JP, Tits, and Thomas. Easily a few people could be swapped in and out.

Defensive blockers: I find Merv, Frank, and Taha the hardest to score on. Everyone else I've had streaks of either scoring well, or getting my ass handed to me, but those 3 to me have the most consistently hard D game to game.

The under rated defenders are a little hard to list as it varies from night to night. I have seen some of the new players have real hot streaks for a while and then wilt as the concentration wanes later in the night.

It is easy to rank the best players like Merv and Taha and Jon. All you have to do is look at who wins the money consistently. These are the best players whether they play front or back it doesn't matter. They win the dough.
Easy question. The rest of us are just donating to the pot. LOL
