2014 Quebec City Provincial Bonzini Tournament

BONZINI PROVINCIAL TOURNAMENT
Québec, March 21st, 22nd and 23rd 2014

We are proud to announce the next provincial Bonzini tournament, that will be held in Quebec city from March 21st till 23rd 2014.
This tournament, recognized by the AQBB, will take place at Le Tapis Vert Ste-Foy.

EVENTS FORMAT (All events are Doubles KO) :
• Open Singles and Doubles (Open to everybody) -- (3/5,2/3)
• Expert Singles and Doubles (1000 to 1500) -- (2/3,1/7)
• Amateur Singles and Doubles (0 to 1000) -- (2/3,1/7)
• Women’s Singles and Doubles -- (2/3,1/7)
• Mixed Doubles (Open to everybody) -- (2/3,2/3)
• Handicap Doubles (inactive) * -- (2/3,1/7)
• Open DYP ** (Open to everybody) -- (2/3,1/7)
• Beginner Doubles *** (0-750) -- (2/3,1/7)
• Pro-Am **** (Open to everybody) -- (2/3,1/7)

* Handicap Doubles (inactive) :
A players who is considered active on the AQBB rankings -which means he/she attended a tournament either in Montreal (Sept. 2013) or Trois-Rivières (Nov. 2013) or both- can only play with a players who is considered inactive –which means he/she has not attended a tournament sanctioned by the AQBB for the past 6 months or with a player who has never attended an AQBB tournament.
Handicap will be determined according to the average ranking of the team.
2001 points and more : the team must score 8 goals to win the game.
1501 to 2000 points : the team must score 7 goals to win the game.
1001 to 1500 : the team must score 6 goals to win the game.
501 to 1000 : the team must score 5 goals to win the game.
Beginners must score 4 goals to win the game.
This event will not be counted towards official rankings.

** DYP = Draw your partner :
Teams are chosen randomly. This event will not be counted towards official rankings.

*** Beginner Doubles :
• For amateurs only (excluding amateur élite)
• Players must have never won an event sanctioned by the AQBB. The organization reserves the right to refuse a player to participate to this event.

**** Pro-Am :
A Pro Élite or Pro Master can only play with an Amateur.
A Pro can only play with an Amateur or an Amateur Élite.
An Expert Élite can only play with an Expert, Amateur Élite or Amateur.

Sunday March 23rd
10:00 AM Room opens / Events continue
11:00 AM Amateur Doubles
12:00 PM Amateur Singles
12:00 PM Mixed Doubles

REGISTRATIONS :
Pre-registrations and modifications on line will be accepted until Tuesday March 18th at 7:00 PM. Thereafter, it will not be possible to pre-register on the web site. Registrations or modifications on site will be accepted until an hour before the beginning of each event; A 5$ fee will be charged for the modifications.

There will be 16 B90 ITSF tables. Open play for the whole weekend.

RANKING SYSTEM :
Amateur 0-750
Amateur Élite 751-1000
Expert 1001-1250
Expert Élite 1251-1500
Pro 1501-1750
Pro Élite 1751-2000
Pro Master 2000+

FEES :
COST PER EVENT
Amateur 10$
Expert 15$
Pro 20$
Master 25$

DYP fee is 10$ for everyone. Beginner Doubles and Handicap Doubles fee is 5$.

• Table fees will be 5$ per event up to 20$ maximum. No fee will be charged to a player who only plays one event in Beginner, Amateur or Mixed.
• The players must have their ball during a match. Balls will be available at the cost of 3$/ball.
• We offer a 50$ package for any players who never attended a tournament sanctioned by the AQBB and to all players with less than 750 points on the rankings. This package is for a maximum of 8 events. If a player wants to play in more than 8 events, he/she will have to pay for each additional event.

PAYOUTS (GARANTIED) :

If only 3 teams (or players in Singles) participate to an event, payout goes to the winner only. From 3 to 6 teams, payouts go the winner and the runner-up.
