Summer Point Race
#1
Looking at doing a point race to try something different.

What do people think? I'll post more details once I figure out what my software can do.

Going to use the Monster DYP format here:
kickertool.com

Played with it for a bit and it looks pretty good. Figured out how to use it.

I'll draw up the details later tomorrow.

MonsterDYP Format (from the kickertool website):

"Also called Fair4All and is a single-player mode. Each player gets a randomly assigned partner and plays against another random team. The attempt is that every player is playing once with each other. With every won game the winning team gets points and they are fighting for the position in the table. Because its possible to add and remove player at any time, the mode perfect for a casual foosball evening with open end.

A elimination round with fixed teams can be started at any time."

So the first half is basically the same as what we did last year except you can add new players at the start of each round? Then the second half can be initiated at any time (or not initiated at all) and starts a seeded doubles (assuming team means doubles which it might not), single or double elimination chart based on the results of the first half?

Similar to last year just adds the ability to add new players at any time and we drop singles for doubles in the second half?

We had the ability to add people last year, the problem was that I had manually screw with the sheets to make things work. The way I had the sheets set up, it was easy some times, sometimes not.

This software is EXACTLY what they used in Germany and what I was trying to emulate.
I'm formatting my little net book with linux so that it will work again and I'll bring that with me. We can either connect to the wifi (if possible) or tether it to a data link.

We'll use the software to run the matches and I'll record the stats separately.
