Specialty rules
#1
Read up on the USTSA rules of specialty events (couldn't find the ITSF ones), found some interesting things:

2 ball:
- You're allowed to pin the ball for 3!!! seconds
- All rods have a time limit of 10 seconds
- You can delay your serve for up to a full second after the count finishes

The pin one was especially surprising.

Goalie Wars:
- If a ball is stopped or pinned for more than 3 seconds, it has to touch a second man to count as a goal.
- A ball that connects with the upturned 3 or 5 bars is still live (I always thought that was instantly dead)

Funny,
They have both 2-Ball and Goalie Wars in the rule book. We looked up the pin issue for 2-ball on Wednesday and it said that you could have it pinned for 1 second. It went on to further say that you could score from a pin if it was done immediately.

Another funny 2-ball rule, in-and-out goals don't count. The ball has to stay in the net to count.

Send me your reference.

Goalie Wars:
If the ball touches the 3 or 5 bars it isn't dead as the rules states. It is only dead if after touching the rods it goes back to the initiator of the shot WITHOUT going into the opponents zone.

Here is my reference. They're the old USTSA rules, the ones that define a serve through the serving hole in singles & doubles.

I knew about the in & out rule, and how we violate the no points rule if teams score one goal each.
