Well we'll see how many people actually commit to going, I really doubt Chris will be going with the new baby and everything. I can drive down also so don't think cars will be an issue at all!

Yeah well thats what I mean, lets establish drivers and such so that we don't have too many going down, most seats should be full. But yeah shouldn't be an issue. I was counting Chris as a driver.

Last time I talked with Chris, he said that his stance was '1 tournament a year'. He was planning on making it Syracuse. Obviously this isn't set in stone, but there's a pretty good chance that he's still headed to this one.

The tournament is two months away and I don't know if I can go, leaving a two month old with my wife alone. I'm worried about going to Kingston for a concert for 6 hours next week, so we'll see about a tournament for the hole weekend.

I would say no at this point.

The other problem would be trying to line up partners and stuff. I might just try to go down for singles or something if the times line up.

The Hotel
Very excited about this years venue. We've tried to book this hotel every year since our first tournament back in 2005 with no luck because it's always booked, its perfect! It's a much more family friendly type of vacation hotel.
-1500 sq/ft tournament room
-Indoor Pool
-Hot tub
-Arcade game room
-Nice restaurant and bar
-3 miles from the airport
-2 miles from the DESTINY USA mall, formally carousel mall

Tournament Experience Improvements
-We are adding 10 additonal tables this year
-Smartphone instant messaging. We realize not everyone will have a smartphone so we will continue to call matches the tradtional way as well. But for those who have a smartphone attached at the hip, this technology will speed things up. No more missing the announcement you are up on table 10 followed by a scramble at the front desk looking for you. You will receive a message with the event and table number instantly. The staff will also receive confirmation your phone was notified. As we all know getting matches started is key to an early finish, but we all like to relax and not focus on the charts.
-We are starting things on Friday at noon. This will help get players registrered well before events start that evening.
-We increased the overall payouts. We also decided to lowered entry fees for lower ranked players and our growing women's field.

Our Current Staff and Additions
As always Charles Macintosh will be sponsoring the Tornado tables. If you have table or parts needs please contact him.

We are thankful to be using Netfoos tournament software again this year.
Returning this year will be the famous John Lee and trusty side kick Kristin Grogan. Thats right John your famous. lol.
Long time NY states staff member Scott Ramsey will aslo provide his much needed experience.
Charles, Dave J, Brian Snook, Matt McCrorey and Carl Petry will again head up the setup and tear down crew. We are also adding two new positons this year.
I've asked Forest to handle the LIVE STREAMING this year. He did a fantastic job last year (you may have seen some of his work, "PUT IT IN THE BOX" lol). He is also very familiar with Netfoos. We are very happy to bring him aboard.
My other half Jen Hay will be handling all of the messaging services. She doesn't really play that much foos, so having her available will make it easier on the competing staff members.

From Dave and Myself:
Its always been our mission to have a yearly tournament tradition here in the Northeast that is both competitive and extremely fun. And we are always trying to make it better than the last. Looking forward to seeing everyone and sharing some laughs.

Feel free to contact me

Jeeze, beginner singles and doubles start at 5pm and 7pm Sunday night. Ah well, Amateur dubs starts Sunday morning, Sunday matches mean you will be fully practiced up and playing at a higher level after finishing the more difficult events.

Just booked the Monday off as well, looks like it might be a later drive back because of the beginner events.

I'll be driving too so that's another 4 seats in my car that compensates for Chris not driving. Great to see lot's of interest brewing!
