2012 Summer League

Hello All:

This is the official announcement for the OFA 2012 Summer League. We'll keep the format the same and will continue to encourage higher ranked players to pick up rookies as team mates.

Here are the details:
3 Person Teams
$40 League Fees - ($5/week) - FREE for Women - 1/2 Price for new players
8:00 Wednesday Nights.
8 Weeks + 1 Week of Playoffs.
Start - July 4
Finishes - August 29

Dan Packer will be league coordinator. I'll be pointing him in the right direction.

Depending on registration we'll establish either a tier structure or a rotation schedule.

The first week both Packer and I won't be there. N/A Championships run 4th-8th.

June 27 Pre-Season warmup.
July 4th - Week 1

Playoffs:

There are 6 teams with $120 in league fees each = $720.

League Champions (enter team name here) get $120
League end party - $120 (matched by OFA)

Tier 1 - $180 for first, $120 for second * Corrected Amount
Tier 2 - $120 for first, $60 for second.

When the stats have been updated and posted you will know which tier you will belong too. Teams 1, 2, 3 tier 1, teams 4, 5, 6 in tier 2.

We will play the three man for the playoffs.

what is the policy for subs at the playoffs? No subs?

subs are allowed. Should be comparable to the person who is being replaced. Who's not going to make it?

JP for a Gid would be acceptable.
Merv for a Shadi, not so much.

in all seriousness. Packer is working on all the stats. Unfortunately some sheets were left in the table at TG, so a proper tally can't be done until tonight. League champion will be announced then.

As for the playoff tiers, I can't comment as I don't know the teams performances well enough.

So what is the format then if we have 3 team tiers? Number one seed gets a bye??

three team tiers, no byes. This was preferred in previous playoffs.

Oh ya that's right makes sense.

There will only be one round of playoffs so it should be like a regular night
of league I'm assuming? Other than having 3 teams tiers
