WL2013 Playoff Match Ups

I apologies for the delays, it has proven challenging to co-ordinate things between Packer and I. We are still working on what the payouts will look like. I figured I better post the match ups before people start to think that I am slacking off.

Teams are placed in one of two tiers based which tiers they played the most in during the league (tier 1, 2 or 3) and then based on league standings. We are using Week 15 standings for ranking purposes.

Here are the groups:
Tier 1:
1. Family Before Foos
2. Parking Lot Activities
3. M&M featuring Slim Shadi
4. Pulled Snake Sandwich
5. Jar Hack & Cackle
6. Europe

Tier 2.
1. AJS
2. Hammer Blow
3. IGYSRH
4. Kirby
5. Kamikaze
6. Shit Balls

All the matches are half sheets except the ones in red. Correct sheet attached.

Chris, I don't think the matchups in the picture are correct, and it's not set up as you previously proposed (see below)...the most likely result of these brackets is that the first match played by the #1 seed is vs #3 seed, while the #2 seed plays #4 seed.

Hello League Members:

We are two weeks away from the league playoffs and I would like to present the playoff format. I am going to slightly modify it from previous leagues since the team balance is different.

Barring any objections this is what I am proposing:

1) Two tiers of six. Prizes for 1, 2, and 3 place in each tier. Teams will be placed in the two tiers and ranked based on league wins.
2) Week 1:
Round 1:
Team 3 vs 6 play a half sheet.
Team 4 vs 5 play a half sheet.
Round 2:
Winner of 3 vs. 6 plays team 2 half sheet.
Winner of 4 vs. 5 plays team 1 half sheet.
3) Week 2:
Winners of round 2 play full sheet to determine first and second place.
Losers of round 2 play full sheet to determine third place.
4) Party and HOF induction will still take place on Week 1.

Advantages - more foos, finals decided by a full sheet.
Disadvantages - second week of playoffs when only one advertized. This might be a problem for some.

Any subs for the playoffs must be approved. I'm am actively trying to fill the missing spots on teams for the playoffs with appropriate players.

This is not set in stone. If there is a significant objection to the second week of playoffs, then this plan will be reconsidered.

You are correct. In my haste to take advantage of an opportunity that an other player mentioned to me this morning, I mixed up the round two match ups in the excel spreadsheet. I will correct this.

Although there is a downfall being 1st or 2nd because we only get to play one half sheet for the entire night tomorrow, and say if Frank and us meet for the final both our teams would have only played a half sheet each week, not much foos at all!

I realize it might have been defined in the past - I just don't know

Well, take away half of the games. Only one singles, one roto doubles, only one specialty, 2-ball and one set of doubles.
