So, if I got last night results right and considering a snapshot of the stated match-ups (delayed one week because of weather):

yea that's not gonna happen unfortunately; but I'd like to try to make it out to sub more often just to keep in touch with everyone; it was good to be out hackin it up

Chris, This is not right. How do these extra teams get to play for third and fourth place. They lost in the first rouind. If you maintain your formula it is JHC against PLA for Third and Fourth. These other teams of PSS and Europe are out.
I dont see how they now have another chance to play for third and fourth. This is not double elimination. I think you have to review this because I object. Ask Jon and Sam and Dan and Gid and Carm what they think. Vern

well... let the kids play, they were out of play at half time last night.

SS you should talk to Jon and Sam. JHC and PLA only lost once and won once. Europe and PSS lost once. Our records are different yet we all get to play for third and fourth. What was the purpose of last night. PLA and JHC have no advantage even though their record is better. I agree third and fourth is not great honour but my question if why am I playing PSS and Europe. We should play PLA for third. End of story.

Hold on here ... I might agree with you if this was brought up in advance but like Gid said, this was posted well in advance. If you had won both matches, you wouldn't be making this post. Similarly, had you lost your first match (which was close wasn't it?) you probably wouldn't be posting this either.
You can't just start lobbying against our teams now that you know the outcomes. What advantage do you want? You lost before the final anyway. Play out the game, you beat us all 3 times we faced each other this league (close, but you still won), you just have to do it once more then you can play PLA. Think of it as a warmup.

I am not out to lobby against anybodies team. I am simply making a point that this was not discussed at the outset and the format and rules appear to be made up as you go. I simply see a difference in records PLA and us are 1 win one loss. Europe and PSS havent won a game yet we are all playing for third and fourth.
It is my understanding that it was single elimination for the playoffs. Now it is a form of double elimination for third and fourth and even if you win the double elimination you cannot return and doulble dip the playoff winners. One format or the other please. Now I am tired of typing LOL.

to be honest... it's always been single elimination previously... i didn't know it was double-elim until this thread..
