It can be done Gid, my friends that are into video editing and stuff do it. I think how it works is the software identifies different frequencies and once they are identified they can be manipulated. Identifying the frequencies might be trickier than I thought though.

Interesting idea to remove background music and noise from a video but afaik even with a decent digital audio workstation (Pro Tools) there aren't any plugins that could get decent results. Any talking or foosball sounds you would hope to keep would overlap in the frequency spectrum with the background music. If there is such a thing I would like to know too tho!

So I'm running Pro Tools 9 ... I can look into it, but I don't really know that it's worth it for a Friday DYP ... something I'll consider for the future.

Nice Casti, i got 10 this past summer, knowing how much decent plugins cost and the time involved I wonder if it would only be worth it for Open doubles finals or something. I kinda want to see how possible it is now. Or a multi mic setup lol

might be easier to listen/make-up the conversation and add captions for it, plus sound effects of course
