How about this idea: When there is a total prize pool in the DYP that ends with 5$, instead of adding that 5$ to one of the top finishes, we can put a 5$ bounty on the top team in the draw (as determined by the leerless feeder). If you knock them out or if you put them in the losers, you get the 5$ regardless of where you finish. If the top team is undefeated, they get the 5$. Or maybe OFA can kick in 10$ to be used once a week for such a bounty?

They do this in the states sometimes. They put a bounty on promasters in a weekly draw. I think it would make things interesting.

They can also get the bars to kick in a certain out based on how much booze and such is consumed.

what's a "leerless feeder" (feerless leeder makes no more sense either)

anyway the idea sucks

let's do it this way: the $5 bounty is put on the weakest team in the draw, as determined by the collective; and then whether it wins or loses it gets it

Leerless Feeder because "Leer" and "Feed" are both words, whereas "Lear" and "Fead" are not.

The bounty is supposed to inject some extra excitement into the draw by giving extra incentive when you play a strong team. You can even make the bounty cumulative. If it isn't collected one week, it carries over to the next. Giving the weakest team money back just for being the weakest time does nothing for the excitement of the draw.

perspective, it's all about perspective

give it to the weakest team if they can win a match, otherwise let it accumulate

the strongest teams will do fine as it is

in vino veritas

You shouldn't get paid to suck.

We already let fresh faces play 3 times for free.

I like the idea of a bounty, but it really should only apply in certain cases (e.g: Merv & Jon or Tits N Taha)

I tend to agree. The idea is to give extra incentive to knock down a really strong team and also put pressure on said strong team. If the DYP is relatively even there is no need for a bounty.

What got me thinking about this in the first place is that Jon in his last 4 DYPs has draw me twice, Merv once and Manny once.

Taha, Jon has the ability to carry the weaker players and still win.

That's the point. What I'm suggesting is that if, as part of taking the DYP, Jon and partner take down (for example) Merv/Chris A or Merv/Taha, they get a bounty because they took down an all-pro team. Extra incentive while they play, and extra pressure on the all-pro team.

Ya I like this idea a lot, should be an evident "upset" scenario for sure but could be kinda cool!

Frank this may decrease your opportunities for your famous pre-game quote!
