Tier 1 League Sheet
#76
I like the 2 Roto games, and the static 2-Ball rollerball... Swapping out 3-Man for something more beneficial is what I vote for.

One thing that has been overlooked is the three man sheet. The reason we play two of everything is that you can add a third team and the total individual games don't change. This makes the stats the same whether it is a two man or three man sheet.

Changing things to thee singles and three specialty ruins the balance. With six "singles" I can make it work but team to team balance in the three man sheet will be slightly off (you play one singles and two specialty against one team and vice versa against the other). Not the end of the world bit just something to consider.

oither than that, clarifications/stating of rules

that's it

no splitting of doubles, no other games

just as the picture say

the 5-bar wars hurts me, but that is personal

just the solid core, the games, the basics

nothing contrived

no player base engineering

So we are starting league with this sheet tonight correct?

I have the league sheets ready. Chris and I had a look at them at lunch and we will go with our format for the spring league. Looks similar to above. A couple of small changes to ensure parity and fun.
We sill go with Roto Doubles instead of Roto Goalies delight. No other surprises. Easy as Pie.

For the "Roto Two-Ball Rollerball", what exactly are the rules for rotating players, last night more than one interpretation could be observed

Vern and I discussed it and it should be that you roto only when you serve two balls. In the event that your team didn't score, you don't rotate.

I've updated the rules and they'll be printed on the sheets next week.

Last night when we played FB4F we played it like this.

If Team A scores the first and stops the ball they rotate 1, the other team stays the same.

If Team A scores the first and Team B scores the second, both teams rotate 1.

If Team A scores both, they rotate 1 and the other team stays the same.

So basically it's what Chris said. Before the 2 balls are served, if your team has scored either 1 or 2 goals, you switch.

(i.e. If team A scores and the second ball goes off the table and is re-served by team B, everyone stays put)

Actually you rotate once for each goal scored. So in this case where Team A scores both, they would roto twice, once for each goal scored. The roto is not on the fly, meaning that the rotations occur after each round. If during a round the ball comes off the table and needs to be reserved, it is still technically the same round so no rotation occurs until that ball has been played. This is different than a team scoring and stopping the ball as they have chosen to stop the round and start a new one, in which case the roto would happen.

Really they rotate twice, once for each goal! That actually came up during our game last night.

That's how I imagined it'd be played. I probably should have explained that more thoroughly before league started but I guess that's what a trial night of the new league sheets would have been good for lol.
