Well I think I can speak for everyone when I say the current league format compared to previous years is far superior. If a lot of the other locations knew and understood our format, I think it would become a very popular format to attract and grow new talent, much more so than just a weekly DYP which is very intimidating for new players.

Hard fought night, well played Jon, Chris and Ben.
Packer informed us last night that in addition to having to go to Calgary for a month for work, he also has to go to Montreal for a week before he goes to Calgary. So that was Dan's last week with us, Ben will be our sub for the rest of league.

So if you have Ben as your sub on Garlando in the next rotation, and you win league by 2 points, you'd feel comfortable with that?

We will feel as comfortable as you felt last year getting a non-deserving chance tie up the league versus playing the normal rotation match (which if you consider the fact that it was changed for this year's format, everyone agrees it was BS to begin with).

Thank you for the complete non sequitur. I guess I have your answer though.

Yeah im fine with that.
Do you feel comfortable winning league as a tier 1 team when over half your points are coming from tier 2 wins?

^^ What Jesse said. You're about to get 12 of your points from tier 2, you have what is it 2 wins total in tier 1 and one of the game from a squeeky win week 1 on Garlando against us. The fact that we've stayed and are still on top playing the real competition all league long is more relevant than if we get one of our last weeks of rotation on Garlando (and given that we already played it last week, we won't be due for that).

Probably more than half, and that's besides the point too.
I just asked a simple yes/no question... and both of you tried to point fingers as a means of defending yourselves. I'm not the one with an uneasy conscience here. If you really were fine with it, you'd have just said yes we're absolutely fine with that and stopped rather than try to justify yourselves.

Oh come on, that's a loaded question. I am perfectly fine with that outcome. My answer was a way of saying this is a non starter, it was cleared with the league director.

The point I'm making is basically you are the last team that should be complaining about anything. The league format has worked in your favour more than any other team this league, you stacked a team heavier than anyone could and your gonna sit here and try to make us feel bad about bringing in a good sub because someone on our team has to go work in a different part of the country unexpectedly? Implying we don't deserve to win the league is laughable.
If you wan't to complain get in line, because Frank, JP, Carm, Chris, Dan K and Jon are all ahead of you on that one, they have earned it.

Cough - Although, the request was more of an off hand comment of - "Dan has to go away for a month and we are going to use Ben" rather than seeking permission, , doesn't change my position of the use of Ben. Everyone is welcome to play.
It is my same position when Chris A asked me if it was okay to allow the 3 Horse Men to form. There are no limitations in the league.
A reminder of the league rules on substitutions:
Substitute Players: Teams are encouraged to get substitute players when needed. Post on the forum or contact the league coordinator in the event you need a sub. There are no restrictions on substitutes during regular league although do consider the skill level of the substitute with your teams current tier position. During the playoffs, substitutes need to be approved by the league coordinator.

I think we took that into consideration.
May we please use Ben to replace Dan during the playoffs?

You are free to get whatever sub you want. In fact you can fly Frederic Collignon in to sub for Packer if you want. It is completely up to you.
However, you know quite well that we are all playing seriously on the Garlando for the first time, and you know quite well that the sub you chose is way way better than any of us on Garlando. Like I said, you have the right to pick any sub you want. I also have the right to think whatever I want about your choice. If the league was on the line, and Chris or Merv were away, I would not pick up a Garlando pro to be our third on Garlando (on Tornado is different). Possibly (probably) not everyone feels the same. And that's fine too. I'm not even trying to dissuade you. I'm just letting you know what I think.

You are entitled to your opinion, and your right your not trying to dissuade us, your trying to guilt trip us with loaded questions, which is why we initially responded with loaded questions of our own for you to answer (still waiting for my answer). I just find it amusing that its you trying to guilt trip us of all teams/players.
