You guys all realize that we've already played our required number of matches on Garlando so the chances that we play on that table in the remaining weeks is very slim, correct? On Tornado Ben is a Tier 1 player, and not better than any of you. Trust me I'd much rather have you or Merv subbing for us on Tornado than Ben (no offence to him), but he is definitely beatable on Tornado is my point.

While that may be true, if you look at my initial question, it was about Ben subbing for you on Garlando, and you both stated that you were totally fine with it.

Also, you can stop trying to make out like that happened this league or last league has any bearing on this question. They're 2 totally different things. We show up, and we play. We lose sometimes and we win sometimes. We didn't throw games away to go down to Tier 2 (which, if we had, is also perfectly within league rules).. and as for last season... I don't make the league rules. I show up and play. That's the part I have control over. We showed up and we played and won. This is different.

I don't think anything is wrong with it because we didn't plan to do any of this, Dan didn't plan to go to Calgary for work, we didn't plan to have Ben move from Austria to Ottawa for January-April to play foosball for our team, and we don't plan the final draw for who plays on the Garlando as its random and we have already maxed out on the Garlando.

Given that it's Tier 1, I don't have any issues playing against Ben even if it's on Garlando. He's a definite upgrade compared to Packer but that's not saying much given the large list of players better than him...

I'm in the process of making sure Ben's immigration papers are up to date. Please make sure you have a backup sub in case he ends up being deported.

No you are within the rules last year and this year. I'm ok with what happened, just pointing out that the rules allowed a non deserved comeback mechanic last year, you still had to win and you did.

I'm not trying to guilt trip you. I'm not even trying to get you to drop him either. In fact I don't care one way or the other whether you use him. I'm actually looking forward to playing against Ben in league.

You might have won with Packer anyway. You might have won with just using 2 players (as you have done every other time in the past when a tier 1 player was not available to sub), but I guess we'll never know. I was asking because I wanted to know. Now I know. That's it.
