Playoffs Week 2
#1
Hello Foosers:

This Wednesday is week 2 of the playoffs. Here are the match ups:
Tier 1:
M1 - FoosB4Family vs Euro Push Snake
M2 - The 3 Horse Men vs. Who Needs Practice

Tier 2:
M3 - The Underdogs (formerly Gropey, Grumpy Sleazy) vs. The Good Times
M4 - The Protege vs. IGYSRH

Tier 3:
M5 - Refoos to Lose vs. Roland, Nat & Abir
M6 - Freshly Squeezed vs. Fat Albert vs. The Wolves on Foos Street (Chris and Tobin)

Playing on the Garlando
As stated at the start of the league, the playoffs will include a portion of the night on the Garlando table. Matches will rotate from one table to another as required. Match 6 (M6) will start the night on Garlando, play all of its Garlando games and then swap tables with M5. (This is the three man sheet and I would like to start with that match Wink ) M5 will then play it's Garlnado games on the Garlando and then swap tables with M4 and so on until everyone has played its games on Garlando.

The three games will be:
Singles 1 - Player 1 vs Player 1
Roto Doubles
Specialty 2 - Player 2 vs. Player 3

This means that 3 of the 14 points will be played on the Garlando which is the correct ratio of the tables 1:5 and the number of weeks played on the Garlando 2.5:15

This also means that some teams will play games out of order. This is unfortunate but unavoidable.

I will post new sheets to make the match ups clear so even Mario can't screw it up. Wink

There is a severe lack of trash talk in this thread.

I find the 2 week trash pickup schedule OK in the winter, but problematic in the summer.

Taha

So the garbage truck only shows up every other week, just like your team this league...

lol classic . looking for trash talk... Only about eight to ten people play competitive foos. Only ten people account for most of the posts. About ten to fifteen more lurk and follow the board but never say anything. Of course trash talk is going to be rare...The board is dead..

When the trash talk dies the death of foosball forums is accelerated, take a look at the Colorado Foosball boards implosion over the last year.

Its all in good fun, you guys just need to try harder to stir the pot, Franks always willing to give free lessons! Tongue

*edit* fixed above post to read thread instead of forum, because the whole forum doesn't need trash talk, just specific threads Tongue

You want to re-introduce a veteran to OFA with a loss in the playoffs? Risky man....

Post on the forum or contact the league coordinator in the event you need a sub. There are no restrictions on substitutes during regular league although do consider the skill level of the substitute with your teams current tier position. During the playoffs, substitutes need to be approved by the league coordinator.

We are still using Ben by the way, I mentioned this to Thomas in the last week of league to get approval.

I assume both are approved?
