November Tournament

What up Ottawa Foosers! Oh how I miss you all!! I have some great news though.. You're all invited to come visit me on the weekend of November 17-18 for the ITSF World Championships Qualifier tournament being held downtown Toronto. This event will be a fundraiser to support Team Canada at the July, 2019 ITSF tournament held in Murcia, Spain. It's going to be super fun with some serious events where winners will earn an opportunity to represent Canada in Spain next year, along with some Ranked events that makes it more fair for everyone.

One of my favourite events from Wednesday night league in Ottawa was "Specialties", so we'll be running a Ranked Specialties event instead of Amateur Singles. Winner of the coin toss will decide between (i) Singles, (ii) Goalie Wars, (iii) Five-Bar Wars, or (iv) Forward Shootout, in races to 7 points.

I have attached the flyer, so please let me know if you have any questions. Online registration will be available two weeks before the event. By registering online, you will save the $15 Table Fee, so I encourage you all to take advantage of that.

Packer, how are you basing people between amateur/expert/pro , it's not IFP points solely is it?

The AM doubles event is really for IFP Beginners and below. It's aimed at the beginners that we've been getting out weekly since starting our Monday/Tuesday nights downtown Toronto. We made the Specialties Ranked so that anyone can play. The rankings will basically follow IFP, but at my discretion. Same with the DYP - it'll be kind of like a Pro-Am DYP where we'll make two buckets of players based on who signs up, then draw randomly from each bucket.
