I actually kind of like the first thought....though I'm not quite sure how to implement it at the moment. Something to give players incentive to come out to DYP's/league nights/tournies...a points race or something of the like for a prize...

DYP holdem? sounds interesting. maybe we could use the chips to call in a superhero to do a special move to score the goal.

like for example, super steve could appear, set up his zepellin shot and jar the table for 12 minutes after the goal.
Merv could appear and say "Check out THIS shot" and score a huge zone breaker from the back, after he had already placed the goal marker halfway.
