In typical TO foos fashion, registration was at 10:30pm, first game around mid-nite, and finals wrapping up after 3am... fortunately there are 8 fabi tables filled with wannabe's for us to beat up on while waiting for our matches!
Tornado is slowly back on the rise in Canada's greatest city!
Sorry for the late start on the DYP...I do think I had a BIT to do with that...albeit, not much. Scene's lookin good boys...now just need to get Mario and Kane comin out there to support it as well. Lookin like a third table might be in order soon if this keeps up...
To attract some of the other Fabi players to try the table without getting smashed, might want to take a page out of Chris's book and offer them a drink or 2 if they beat you while you play one-handed, or something of the like...there's just SO many players in that place! Crazy!

Teamplay DYP this Saturday, Sep. 5th. We'll likely be playing Friday night at O's foos dungeon, but being the long weekend, we're planning on playing TWO nights (that's right, TWO NIGHTS!)

What kind of turnout is expected tonight? I'm visiting from Seattle (originally from Mississauga, here for the long weekend) ... just wondering if people are going to show up to make it worth the trek to Markham

Sorry just checked this post... about 6 of the top 8 Tornado players in Toronto will likely be there... plus usually about 30 players on the 8 FABI tables also onsite. I'll be on my way shortly....

Great games last night/this morning! Awesome playing all around from everyone that was there. Thanks to Kenny for carrying me in all those games (what a killer push shot).
Really cool to see Toronto has a foosball scene outside of FABI, and representing well at the majors/tournaments in the States.
I don't know if anyone that was there yesterday checks this board (other than Sean), but if you can, feel free to add me to FB. I'll try to get in touch with you guys when I'm back in the area to see if there's anything going on, and likewise if you're in the VanCity/Seattle area feel free to hit me up: http://www.facebook.com/people/Chris-Lo/502503439

Glad you made it out Chris, and that we got a little DYP going even though at least 4 of the better players bailed that night. So I expect to see you in Portland on Saturday @ Home Turf, appreciate you driving that distance just to hang out with me (but after you came all the way from Seattle to play in our DYP, I'm not surprised ).
Fyi, your snake 'D' is very effective, especially early in the morning when it's hard to focus on quickly moving men!

If we follow the theoretical schedule of every other Friday (theory, not always reality), then the next one will be next Friday, Sep 18th.

I don't know if anyone reads the toronto section but....
Anyone interested in having a tournement at TeamPlay? Only problem is...the old table is gone so we only have the 1 table to play on. Tornado has been pretty dead over here and it gets pretty boring playing fabi. Anyone interested? Just a random thought to put out there.

I like your thinking, and thanks for volunteering Sheldon! I'll give you some tips to get this going asap, and Jason Wong will be glad to help you as well. And we'll talk to Jacky about how to get a new T3000 asap.

Well if we do have a tournement, I hope I get Nhu as my partner just as long as he's on fire Had a good time playing our mini DYP last time and learned a couple of things. If anything, anyone want to contact Tyson, Steve, Mario and the gang? (sorry if I missed out on names, too many to type.) We should set up a time and date to hold this tournement and...we need some word of mouth going lol
I'm waiting for next DYP at TP
