New York State Championship Nov 2nd-4th $12,000
#96
Great tournament, had a lot of fun and got to see some people we initially met in Maryland. Obviously would have liked to finish a little better in the amateur events but you can't win them all. My 3 bar was on fire friday night, cold as ice saturday morning + afternoon, on fire saturday night and cold as ice all day sunday. The inconsistency with my snake really shook my confidence and frustrated me and we all know how sad it is when that happens because I turn into a beginner again. On a positive note my 5 bar both on offense and defense improved drastically. The amateur and expert events were deep with talent, in amateur singles I finished 17th but probably would have done better I was in a different spot in the bracket because I lost to the guys who finished 5th and 4th (both losses went to game 3 and I lost 5-4 5-3, but thats how she goes). In the dyp on Fri night I drew another amateur rated even lower than me. He played D for me and we just went on a tear, he was a wall and I was shooting between 70-90% in every game and we ended up finishing 7th after knocking Mario Iannuzzi and Sean Riley out of losers bracket (that felt good Tongue).

Still lots of work to do but tons of time because I won't be moving up divisions until at least next September. Will be making modifications to my snake over the next couple weeks to try to make it more consistent. I seemed to shoot better when I would shoot within 3 seconds and I don't want that to be the case. Going to practice my rock and walking as well as how I place the wrist on the rod.

Maryland here we come!

Casti, Jason, Jon, DanP and I all are interested in going to Maryland. Lets try to get 8 total.
