2013 Eastern Canada Points

Steve Zeoke expressed concern over these tournaments focusing on points. To be honest I could care less about points I just figured it would be easy to calculate some form of Ontario points if we were to have a few events like this. My real reason for wanting to get this rolling is to have more competition between our two cities. We are only 3-4 hours away from each other and rarely get to practice/play against one another. When Dan and I have gone down to the states for tournaments this year I would say that at least half of our tough matches came against Canadian players, most of whom live like between 2-4 hours away from us (Montreal + Toronto). Were great players in Canada, and I think getting different groups of players together will allow more improvement in our games. I just think getting 30-50 people between our two cities (which is achievable) for a $2000 tournament 3-4 times a year would be great for Ontario foos.
