This table is the Shelti equivalent of the Cyclone II.
$850 isn't justifiable. For starters, the Foos 400 is discontinued (parts are still available to order through Shelti though)
I posted this up for anyone who is willing to bargain with the seller. If you can talk buddy down to $500-$600 this is a sturdy table that will last, and is a great learning table.
Parts are interchangeable with Tornado parts except for the bearings, so if you really want to, you can put Tornado men on the rods.

Well, for $500 it would be a much better table than your Storm II. I already said it isn't worth $850, but for those who like to barter, it's a great table.

I doubt that. Id rather adjust from my table to a t3000 then an entire different table. My brush series is the same on the storm or t3000 makes no difference. The bearings look to be closer to storm's than t3000, its a different ball and different men.

You doubt that? You've never played on one... The Storm II's way too light, the sidewall is too thin, and the rods are lighter than a T3000. You claim there's little to adjust from it to a coin op, but I notice a huge difference. The fact is that the Shelti is built far more solid than your Storm II, and allows for a Tornado style game to be played on it. I started out on a Shelti, and I'm pretty sure Jon did as well.
Yes the Shelti has a different ball... you can change that. I've already said that the men are also interchangeable. From playing on a Shelti, the brush series makes no difference between it and a Tornado. Brushing in general is very similar table to table.

I have played on a Shelti, a friend in late elementary/early high school had one. I notice no difference in walls but this basically comes down to preference and familiarity (thinner? its the same thickness as any other because I could use the t3000 bearings if I wanted to and the bounce is fine). My skill progression since I bought my table last june has accelerated at quite a quick rate, and while Wed OFA nights and thursday nights at Maison assist in this there is no denying that my table has had a large influence. Im not saying a Storm II is going to prepare me for high level expert and above level play (for that you need a t-3000) but what it has done is establish horizontal ball control, passing and catching, and both power and precision for my snake. Again what the majority of this comes down to is preference and opinion, I have never regretted buying the storm and feel like it was well worth the money, but thats just my opinion. Imo take your $500 and get a cyclone or a used marble.

This is why I posted this ad in the first place. This is a table that is just as durable as a Tornado (in fact the screw reinforcement is actually superior to Tornado's home models, including the Cyclone II), has true roll (unlike almost all non-Tornados), and you can learn a very advanced Tornado game.
I picked up a Warrior awhile back, which is much farther from a Tornado than a Shelti is, yet I can still pass (stick/brush/chip) and shoot (many shots) on a Tornado. I have never regretted buying the Warrior, and my old roommate never regretted getting his Shelti. You should play Adrian some time, he's about as good as I am.
Some used Tornados are not worth the price (imagine buying La Maison's old coin-op), and this (according to the ad) hasn't been used once. If that's the case, then this table is worth $500, and it will let you learn a game.
As for getting a Cyclone or used marble for $500, good luck. Last Cyclone I saw for sale was $950, no bartering.

If whoever this was directed at wants to buy a Shelti (or this Shelti in the link to be precise), go for it. Personally I would rather slightly adjust from a different Tornado model to the T-3000 rather than adjust from a table of a different make to a t-3000. At this point I would only ever buy a Tornado, Fireball, Garlando, Bonzini, Leonhart or Roberto, but thats just me, everyones preference is different.
As for what $500 will get you:
1) http://toronto.kijiji.ca/c-buy-and-sell-...Z366698826
2) http://toronto.kijiji.ca/c-buy-and-sell-...Z394361742
3) http://toronto.kijiji.ca/c-buy-and-sell-...Z394349721
Take your pick. If you don't like those there is Garlando's on Toronto kijiji ranging from $300-$800 as well.
