And I noticed OFA added in an extra $60 to the pot! Which doesn't include the $120 of food kicked in aswell so thanks Chris/OFA!!

I went and got the missing sheets so I've entered the stats and thus figured out the tiers as follows:

Tier 1:
Jon, Eduardo, Ken
Vern, Jason, Kevin
Thai, Dan, Shane

Tier 2:
Jesse, Dan, Jason
Gid, Shadi, Josh
Mark, Mario, Casti

The following is the Excel summary of the 8 week season:

+1... Chris are you at least coming in for the OFA beer tonight?

Shit, First for tier one should be $180, not $240. That is what I get for not double checking my math.

I apologies for my mistake. Thanks for catching that Jon.

Why are we in division 2? Were tied with Vern's team but our goal +/- is much higher and our points +/- is higher. So wah gwan?

*and on top of that week one we took an auto loss because Dan and I were in St. Louis

*also, how does Jon's team have a tie but no1 else does, who did they tie?

Not likely. I'll see what I can do. Also, the concert tomorrow night is a no go. Really not looking good for Syracuse.

Ranking is decided first by "league points", then by "points for", and if still tied we'd look at "goals for". Since Vern, Jason & Ken got 2 more "points for" than we did over the course of the season, they win the tie and bump us to the second tier.

That's what we get for missing the first week for St. Louis. We would have gotten at least 2 points even if we lost but since we weren't there, we got none and that pretty much sums it up.

Ties are from when three teams play each other. There is a win, tie and lose. It was the only one played this season.

Thats lame. I dunno why points for and goals for takes precedent over points against and goals against, seems like the two values together harmonized is a much better representation of a team. But w/e, seeya tnt.

I didn't realize Jason wasn't coming for our team tnt, im trying to get a 3rd now. What about Gid's team, you guys have 3?

You are rewarded for participation with the current implementation. Let's say 3 teams were tied for 2nd overall, one team with a 4-4 record, one with a 4-2 record (having started 2 games into the season), and one with a 4-0 record, the team with the 4-4 record would most likely be the true 2nd place. We do want to reward people who consistently sign up on time, and show.

We do sign up consistently and show, we were at the second biggest Tornado tournament in the world representing ourselves, our city, our province, and our country. The whole reason why some people start playing foos is to work up to these events. Either way im not saying we should be compensated for missing the first week, merely put it into perspective when comparing our stats with others.

No1 has answered my question about Jon's teams tie, who did they tie?

A tie is for a 3 team sheet... One team wins (Most points), one ties (2nd most points), one loses (least points), so technically he didn't tie anyone.

Edit: What other sport compares +/- for overall standings anyways? I'd be interested in seeing if any exist
