haha in all honesty I meant that what PLA does best was winning but that they narrowly stole the win last night lol.

Here's your week 5 Update:

Stats for Wednesday's Matchups:

[attachment=43]

P.L.A versus Family B4 Foos couldn't have been a closer matchup! After the games they were tied with 4 points a piece, then in the doubles matches each team took one set in 3 games. P.L.A. took the victory as a result of scoring 4 more goals than their opponent. The second week in Tier 1 wasn't any more forgiving for Pulled Snake Sandwich as M&M ft. Slim Shadi unleashed their inner Eminem and utterly dominated.

Jar Hack and Cackle won again although the two teams seemed pretty evenly matched until doubles. Europe took it to Kirby - nuff said.

Hammerblow got revenge in their second matchup against Kamikaze. They won 8-5 with only a 4 goal differential. AJS and The Nutters (Mary's team) narrowly evaded forfeiting for lack of players but were saved by newcomers Fabian, Taich, and Michel. As a result they got to play and AJS took home the gold.

Standings after week 5:

[attachment=45]

Tier 1 has seen P.L.A jump to first in the standings while M&M ft. Slim Shadi are creeping up in the pack. I Got Your Snake Right Here remains at the top of tier 2 despite their second loss this season. Like tier 1, the second tier has ties for 2nd-4th place. AJS secured their third win even though 2/3rds of their team was missing (come on guys where are ya?). Congrats to Hammerblow for getting their first win of the season!!!

For everyone comparing weekly results you may see zeros in the loss column for certain teams that have lost matches in past weeks - there was an issue with my excel sheet that I noticed this week and fixed. I also double checked all the other cells to make sure they were working properly and I'm happy to say it's all good.

Good work everyone! We'll see you next week!

Packer.

So if after next week we are tied in W/L for tier 2, what makes the tiebreaker for who moves up to Tier 1? We lost to Vern's team on goals when we played them last week, everything else was equal.

Does it go by points +- and goal +- or what?

Well, if two teams are tied with records, W/L, +/- points, I have used who beat who in the the match up. So, in your example Vern's team would move up if you were tied. Only complication I've seen in the past was the three man sheets.

My bad, team members have been changing each week when people sub so I've been trying to change them but missed that one.
It's fixed now.

Casti/Chris: I was told to use League Points, then Wins, then Goals For...

So that's how I've been determining the order of the standings at the end of each night.

yes, that is true for the overall rankings. I believe that Casti's question was specifically related how teams are selected to move up and down tiers.

For consistency sake we can implement it the same.

League points and wins are the same thing (wins x2 = league points). It should go:

1) Wins/League Points (w/e it doesn't matter which you choose)
2) Points For
3) Goals For

Week 6 Stats and Season Standings:

Stats:
[attachment=49]

P.L.A. registered another win last night against M&M ft. Slim Shadi - which begs the question of whether OFA needs to start testing for performance enhancing drugs. Despite some respectful sportsmanship from Family B4 Foos that ended up biting them in the ass - they ended up defeating Snake Sandwich (the pulled part was again no where to be seen...).

I Got Your Snake Right Here took out Europe last night in a 10-4 victory. Jar Hack & Cackle took out Kirby in one of the most lop sided matches I've seen in a while.

Sht Balz is accumulating experience but Hammerblow took them out in their second victory of the season. AJS (or should I say JS lol) took another victory this week and has shown that they're capable of contending in tier 2.

Standings:
[attachment=48]

P.L.A continues to climb with yet another win, although Family B4 Foos is right on their heels. I Got Your Snake Right Here is still leading tier 2, but Jar Hack and Cackle has just registered their third win in a row. It looks like AJS really wants to be in tier 2 as they've been tearing it up as of late.

How is AJS not in the 2nd tier yet Smile Kirby hasn't won since week 2 and we have the tie breaker win against them in week 3.

Hello Josh.

Tiers are adjusted once every three weeks. You play everyone in your tier, and then the tiers are adjusted, then the cycle is repeated. We just finished the second rotation and now the tiers will be adjusted for the second time.
