I have a bit of renewed interest. Casti, Steve, Vanh, what do you think?

If you guys come down and are planning on leaving the same day, we'll ensure things start and end earlier on Saturday... you should try to stay at least 1 night, ideally Friday night so you can play in the DYP.

Thinking about it ... the Open events sound interesting. You want to go down friday? I can't take that day off work, don't know if we'd be able to make it for 9pm.

If we know you guys are coming I'm sure we could delay starting for a bit, or at least delay starting the matches you're IN for a bit - just let us know in advance Smile

Looking for input from the other guys ... I might book the hotel room now for this if there's interest in going down Friday night. We might as well try to get some more experience on fireball with competitive players and see how this table is meant to be played.

I don't really have the money for a hotel, lets just do it in one day.

I'd offer to put you guys up but I've already got the Quebecois staying at my place...

Ok, Jesse, Vanh, Steve, if you guys are still interested we will need to leave no later than 7-8am saturday, google maps says it's 424 km to get there. We should make it there by noon if we leave at that time and make little to no stops.

Can I get final confirmation on who wants to go down Saturday?

I would propose we meet at Jesse's place. It should be pretty central for everyone to get to, it's in the riverside area and we drive from there. My car fits 4 comfortably.

I've made other plans so I can't go. I had also assumed we'd stay overnight and have a Friday or Sat night in TO. FYI 50% off many hotels online today: $96 after tax for executive room at Raddisson near Teamplay that has two queens in it:

Have fun!

Would be good to see Ottawa represented this weekend - there's also a new fireball surface here for your table that I'm sure Chris would appreciate if you guys brought it back.

I think the hotel is a great idea, going back and forth same day is pretty tiring... that radisson deal looks great, and there are lots of cheap priceline options in Markham too.

Ok well I booked a room at the radisson, found a deal for $80 after tax for a room with 2 queens. Free cancellation if it doesn't work out. Don't worry about pitching on the room, it's got 2 queen beds.

We can leave Friday night and drive down there, hopefully make the DYP.
