An issue was raised by the players union representative during the last health and safety meeting regarding the associations promotion of alcohol. Concerns were expressed that OFA was trying to manipulate the players by offering alcohol as a prize in order to decrease the players inhibitions towards "pumping loonies" into the tables. Despite a lack of evidence regarding these baseless allegations of player manipulation, it was negotiated that the player will be rewarded with food rather than, sweet, sweet beer. If you would like to see this policy changed, please fill out form "Players_Rewards_Change_Application_Rev2.4.pdf" located on the unions web server and file it with the head of the player union. A suitable bribe will also be required otherwise the application will be refused on a made up technical error requiring you to resubmit the forms. Once approved, we could start awarding beer as prizes, on Tuesdays, as part of a pilot project to see how successful it is. A committee will be formed, with a sizable expense account, to review the pilot projects results, and make a recommendation regarding whether to reject, accept or further study the application.
Or the winner could just order beer instead of nachos.

Since when are we part of a union, rofl. Also, the people going to Maryland would like to practice with their partners so lets do a Shake n Bake tonight. Chris said he wants to play with Mary so that makes 4 Bake teams and then hopefully we will get 4 Shake teams (I think we might get even more than that judging by the responses on here).

I don't think Mark's coming out ... he's available Sunday early afternoon for practice we're confirmed for then though.
I just need a goalie to play for me in the draw side and that's good enough.

We can play all of that by ear tonight. No one will have objections to any of the Maryland partners playing together.
All the OFA players are part of the Foosball Association of Respectable Teamsters (FART) and pay regular dues. Since I am member of the "Management" I am not allowed to join your FART union. As a result, I am not privy to your FART traditions or FART customs, although I am dictated by FART for some of my actions.

Why are we part of this union? I was never informed that I pay dues to a union, I would like to know what these people do if im paying them.
08-Feb-2013, 04:18 PM
Well, from what I can tell, they take your union dues and use it for drugs, booze and strippers. Again, you'll have to bring this up at your next union meeting and discuss it with them.
