2013 Spring League

Hello All:

OFA is proud to announce the spring league for 2013. The league will continue in the format of previous leagues where it will be 3 person teams in a tiered structure. The league will take advantage of an improved sheet based on suggestions from our player base (this will be presented in another thread).

Here are the important details:
8 Weeks of league + one week of playoffs
Start Date - April 3 2013
Playoffs - May 29 2013
Cost - $40 ($5/week). 1/2 Price for new players, FREE for Women.

The league will be an open format with no restrictions on team selection.

OFA Mentorship Program
Senior, experienced players who play with new and up and coming players may apply to the mentorship program to have their league fees sponsored by OFA (ie- free fees for the mentor). Applications will be reviewed on a case by case basis. A good example would be if 5barwarrior were to play with Mary and Josh. Awards will be given to the "Coach of the year".

Tier Structure
The tier structure is dependent on the number of teams that register. It will be designed to ensure teams of similar caliber will face each other on a regular basis.

Prizes
1st Place in league - $120
Playoff prizes will be announce once team registration is complete.

yes. I'll also write up some guidelines and strategies to implement when mentoring. For example - ball control drills, zone defense, snake defense (Ghostbusters and Girlfriends), shooting series...

I'd like to play in this league, but I can probably only commit to playing the first 4-6 weeks. Otherwise I can fill in as a spare.

I did (figured that one all by myself) but the vote count did not change, not even by re-visiting it later, it was still at 3 -- may be that there is a time delay longer than I have patience
