I am going to TRY and make it out tonight. It will be a hard sell since I was out last night (Doesn't matter that it was to help my sister move a couch).
I'll atleast come out for a beer to talk with Casti (i hope) Chris

Everyone thinking about coming out tonight, just do it. I'm going to be there and need a good kick in the ass since I havn't played for 8 Weeks now. That also means no income for the last two weeks... Anyone wanna cripple as a partner for Money Games let me know.
See you later Packer

I've been pretty disappointed with the Bluesfest lineup this year... there are a few shows I wouldn't mind seeing, but they're never on the same day, so it really isn't worth the $40-$50 for me.

I agree Dan, thats why I bought the 5 day pass. Costs $150, translates to $30 a day.
What I did was find 5 days with a headliner I would pay $30 to see, and then any other artists I like on that day are a bonus. Black Keys - Jimmy Eat World, Grand Funk Railway Wutang - Everlast, Tegan and Sara, Fun Rush - Mother Mother Weezer - Animal Collective, Atlas Genius, Killer Mike Skrillex - BB King, Serena Ryder, Yukon Blond, Alice and Chains

I stupidly didn't buy a pass but would've loved to see The Black Keys and Alice n Chains especially.
No Bluesfest for me but will be able to make it to foos tonight so I'm happy!!! Hope to see lots of peeps at TG's tonight!!!

For the bluefest crew - the forecast for tonight doesn't look great so if you decide to bail come and play some foos!

Merv & Casti 1st
Vern & Gid 2nd Dan K & Manny 3rd Dan P & Kevin 4th Frank & Jason 5th Steve & Mary 6th Vern & Gid were on fire, winning the kings seat and knocking everyone out. We were down 4-1 in game 3 of the 1st set and came back to win it, and got the 2 scoops.

Summer League is more casual so attendance is not mandatory, but in the current set up not attending every week negatively effects your end
To encourage people to come out have you considered implementing a best 4/8 or best 5/8 week points race. For example, lets say Casti shows up every week, and for argument sake 5 weeks gets 7 points and the other 3 weeks gets 4 points, he would select the 5 weeks he got 7 points and his total would be 35. I show up 5/8 and get 7 points 3 times and 5 points the other 2 times I would end with 31 points. I was only there for 5/8 so I get no choice in which weeks of mine are used, so Casti still does have an incentive to show up all 8 weeks because he gets better odds, but the people who can't don't feel they are at a disadvantage as much. Its like pick your best 4-5/8 weeks and thats your total.

You showing up on any night still gives you the chance to double up on your buy-in, plus collect points, and there's usually been enough people for cash games / pick up games after the fact.
5/8 or 4/8 still makes it much easier for me to clinch. If there's a tiebreak you'll have to use remaining points so as to not alter the format too much after the fact.
