Fabulous. I dropped off more trophies, installed a timer for the trophy case light and picked up July's count. Thanks for asking.

So at the end will the rankings be by most overall points or the highest points average?

Highest averages: (of people who have played more than just 1 week)
1st) Jon (7.0)
2nd) Casti (6.3)
3rd) Jesse (5.7)

Booya!

RE: 2013 Summer League - Update
Since it doesn't look good for an organized summer league we will be forced to activate emergency plan B. This will replace the summer league.

Summer Points Race
This summer OFA will be running our first points race. There will be weekly prizes as well as a grand prize at the end. Here is how it works.

Dates: July 3 through August 21 (8 weeks) Points Race. August 28 will be a grand event.
Time: Starts at 8:00.
Format: Weekly DYP.
Points: Winner = #teams + 1, 2nd = #teams -1, 3rd = #teams -2 ... until 0. Points are individual.
Cost: $5/week/Player - Free for women
Weekly prize: $20 for winners
Grand prizes: Remainder of entry fees go to the top three places.

Final DRAFT - Instead of buying you all food and beer, we'll throw the money into a DRAFT Your Partner. The player with the lowest points selects first and so on. There will be a formula to prevent usurpers from coming in for only the DRAFT and picking first. Also there might be a sliding scale to enter the event based on the number of weeks you played.

100 % payback.

This is the first time running this so I promiss not to get my feathers ruffled if you point out flaws in my proposal.

I believe the averages together with other factors (see this thread a few posts back) play a role in determining pairings for the "DRAFT Your Partner"; while the points race itself is based on accumulations of points -- id est: no free lunch

Gid is right.

The overall TOTAL points will determine the point race winner.
The overall TOTAL points will also determine the draft order. Since this can be problematic with top players only showing up once and skewing the draft, a weighted average for the number of weeks played will apply.

I'll post the formula once I get it ironed out.

I am going to make a serious effort to come out and play tonight, not one beer, not two but three! Watch out boys the push is back.
