It is two person teams.
There will be two tiers like a shake and bake. The beginners will be in tier 2 while the pros will be in tier1. It would be better if Frank and Dave played together. Not sure what the best way to handle if there is a mixed team - one pro and one beginner. I was thinking that they would need to play in the top tier but would earn double points or automatically get one point for every game.

okay i'll ask if they don't mind playing together... it'll be a little hard to do that without seeming like i'm ditching them.
Chris, during week one it might be best if we take them both aside and explain the BYP concept, and why it would be best that they teamed up. Otherwise they'll think i'm ditching for better partners, which couldn't be further from the truth....

jp, keep in mind partnering can be switched from one week to the next -- no forever commitments, your dreamworld?

Just a friendly reminder that this starts next week.
Talk to your friends, get them out. Lets hope we can see, Kareem, Henry, Roni, Paul, Hos, Hous, Thai and the boys.
I will get the posters ready and start putting them up this week.

no harm in giving it a chance... let's see where it goes right? we have to be open to new ways of doing things Etto... if it doesn't work out and we don't attract at least one new player on a permanent basis, then we'll know for all time and it'll never happen again.... but i think it's worth a try. I know my partner Dave is bringing 2-3 guys from work...

Etto - The idea is to have regular BYP every Wednesday for points. The person with the most points at the end of the month wins. They will get a prize.
Everyone always wants to choose their partner and this allows that to happen.

I saw Kareem this weekend and he says he is working at a company where there are a lot of newbies and he's going to try to get them to come out. Not sure if he knows that we're starting today though. I've got volleyball till 8:15, so I'll be there at 8:30.
