A new bar on Elgin street just put in two Garlando's and are interested in getting some regular events going, maybe DYPs or monthly events.

Thoughts? Comments.

I think monthly events would be best, it would be great to get the Ottawa foosers used to other tables just in case we decide one day to step up our game and play the international multi table tournaments.

I know for a fact that the Garlando tourneys will bring out alot of the old school foosers in Ottawa and believe it or not there are many that we have never met or seen but bring some great skills.

Elgin is very close to me so I'd be down for either...

So the question is, when? Friday nights? or another night?

I'll talk to the guy and see what they are willing to do.

It might be hard to get in something on a Friday night on Elgin... Although I remember both Tuesdays and Thursdays being big there too. Friday might be the worst option for me since I DJ 2 Fridays a month, although that will change once the national spoken word finals happen.

Edit: What's the bar's name?

It is called the Union, (the old Fire Station).
Any night is bad for me. I can't do another foos night.

I'll check it out. If it were a monthly Friday you wouldn't be able to do it? If it were a monthly I don't see why I wouldn't be able to, and would do so as long as enough of the regulars made it out. Yes, that means I'm offering if people show.

I don't think a lot. Would be interesting if the bar added some incentive to go. I offered some setup assistance but told them without compensation I wouldn't be able to run any regular type of events.

they're not even offering a cut of table sales? (even though it's our own money lol)

I'd say that you're offering them a service, for which one would expect to be paid...
